The questions leading the conversations below are;

- how are you doing? (how are you doing living?)

- where is feeling at in your body right now?

- where has dancing/writing felt alive, urgent, and necessary lately?

- what are things that have been coming up for you for a long time and how have they changed?

- when facilitating dance/writing spaces, how do you propose or curate an environment that generates an entry way into the questions that you are asking?

- what are you planning and dreaming of? / what does your futurity look like?

*if you are interested in answering these questions there is a form at the bottom of this page

This is an interview between myself and Majesty Royale on October 30th 2020. This interview is about how we are doing, where the dance is right now, what happens in the darkness, and how we might be together after the disco/after the end of the world.

CONVERSATIONS

(Interviews with Majesty Royale and Kate Schapira)

These are the notes I took while re-listening to our interview some days later.

This is an interview between myself and Kate Schapira, a poet and teacher at Brown University. I found her work in a book called Big Energy Poets, where I was immediately ignited by her 'Climate Anxiety Booth' a platform in which she makes a space for any and all people that walk by to tell her what they are anxious about. I found her email online and asked her if she wanted to meet. She did! This interview is about life, the end of the world, and the relevancy of poetry and artist actions.
